I haven't been able to play with paper for weeks so, when I sat down to do so yesterday, I decided I was just going to use the sets I wanted to with no real rhyme or reason. What I came up with are the cards I plan to use for my class on the 29th of July. Hey, it's summertime! Who needs a theme anyway? :>) If these look like something you'd like to make, plan to come out to my Cardmaking Class through Camarillo United Methodist Church's Center for Creative Living. We'll meet a 2pm and make all four cards for $10. I need to know you're coming by July 22nd.
This first one is made with the "Reason to Smile" stamp set. This set will only be available throught the end of July so now's the time. Click the link above to see the entire set. This set can be purchased for only $5 in either Clear Mount or Wood Mount but only with a purchase of $50 or more. I also used the Neutral Colored Designer Buttons and Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.
This one features the set, "Fabulous You," with this marvelous shoe! I used silver embossing powder along with my heat tool to make it shiny and then colored inside with my wonderful Marvelous Markers. I wish you could see that detail in the picture better, I guess you'll have to come to my class. :>) I added a few rhinestones and some Scallop Dots Ribbon to finish it off. One of the things I like about the ribbon is that it provides two totally different looks, just flip it over! It's a fun, kicky little card if I do say so myself. :>)
Speaking of kicky, I'm liking our new set with the boots more all the time! "Bootiful Occasions" comes with stamps for 4 totally different styles of boot and they're all cute! I did a little sponging and distressed the edges (look closely) of the brown piece. I finished it off with the little stars made with a new punch coming out in our Holiday Minicatalog next month.
This last is a simple card which could be used for a multitude of reasons depending on the sentiment you wish to add. I took Primrose Petals, one of our new In-Colors, as the base for this card and used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the Elegant Butterfly Punch to pop them up. You may be able to see tiny spots of color on the light pink part. Those were made with the new Stampin' Spritzers with plain water and just a few drops from my Primrose Petals ink refill. The ribbon is our new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and just makes a nice place for those larger butterflies to hang out.
I hope you can join me on the 29th. Remember to let me know by Sunday, the 22nd. If you can't, you can still recreate these cards by purchasing the necessary goodies on my website. Just click the links to find the products and let me know if y ou have any questions, I'll be happy to help you out.
